To promote educational cooperation and cultural exchange, the Chinese Government offers a variety of fully funded scholarships to outstanding international students and researchers. These programs support full-degree studies and research opportunities at top universities across China.
The China Scholarship Council (CSC), under the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China, manages and oversees the entire scholarship process.
🗂️ Scholarship Categories
1. Bilateral Program
Offered under agreements between China and other countries. Open to undergraduates, graduates, and scholars.

2. University Program
Designated Chinese universities directly select and recommend students for this program.

- Study Duration: Includes 1 year of Chinese language (if needed) + major study

💰 Scholarship Benefits
- Tuition Fees: Fully covered
- Accommodation: Free university housing or subsidy
- Monthly Stipend:
- Undergraduates: ¥2,500
- Master’s/General Scholars: ¥3,000
- Doctoral/Senior Scholars: ¥3,500
- Health Insurance:
- ¥800/year (long-term)
- ¥400 (for short-term programs under 6 months)

- Non-Chinese citizen in good health
- Age & Education Requirements:
- UG applicants: Under 25 with high school diploma
- Master’s: Under 35 with Bachelor’s degree
- PhD: Under 40 with Master’s degree
- General Scholar: Under 45 with high school diploma
- Senior Scholar: Under 50 with Master’s or higher
- Language Requirements:
- Chinese-taught: HSK Level 3–4 depending on program
- English-taught: IELTS/TOEFL or as required by university
- Meet academic and university-specific requirements
